About the Company

Based in Christchurch and servicing clients all around New Zealand, refrigeration specialists Commercial Refrigeration Wholesalers (CRW) manufacture, sell, and hire/lease a wide range of new and used refrigeration and catering equipment. Now settled in our new permanent premises at 6 Kennaway Road after moving from our previous long-term location in the wake of the Christchurch earthquakes, we continue to provide a wide range of refrigeration and catering solutions to meet any and all commercial refrigeration needs.

Managing director Ian Williams offers vast experience and in-depth knowledge of commercial refrigeration (having worked in the refrigeration industry since 1958), and founded CRW in 1998 in response to the South Island demand for quality refrigeration manufacture and hire. Since then, CRW has expanded to serve clients all over New Zealand, and now imports excellent new and top-quality used products from all around the world, including China, Italy, Turkey, Australia, South Africa, Portugal, and Taiwan.

CRW’s nationwide clients depend upon our excellent products, prompt service, and our sales team’s willingness to work out the best deal possible for their specific needs. CRW is determined to give its customers an economical deal, and provides such services as no obligation quotes, discounts for large orders, and welcoming trade-ins to reach this goal. We have full workshop facilities for refrigeration servicing and installation, and our service department backups and warranty repairs provide peace of mind.

In addition to selling its wide range of ready-made refrigeration products, CRW also has a large construction department for the manufacture of customised solutions such as walk-in cool rooms and freezer rooms. 

Finally, we provide nationwide rental services specialising in corporate contracts for asset management and supplying the catering and hospitality industry. Our huge hire range of refrigeration products is available for both short and long-term rental, and we offer all our rental customers full breakdown management and service support.
