Ian Williams is the Managing Director of CRW and
Hire Cool Ltd. Ian started working in 1958 as an apprentice to the
Refrigeration trade with Debenham Refrigeration, becoming a qualified
Refrigeration Engineer. Ian then moved to McAlpine Refrigeration,
spending the next 14 years with the company gaining supermarket,
air-conditioning and liquor industry experience. Ian became involved
in supermarket and liquor refrigeration while in its infancy and
moved from servicing and installing to sales and eventually to South
Island Manager. |
Ian established his own refrigeration manufacturing company
in 1981 and moved into his own business. At the same time, Ian formed
HireCool Ltd as a subsidiary to satisfy the client demand for rental refrigeration
products forming an association with 'Meadow Fresh' as the preferred supplier
of rental refrigeration. In 1997 due to the demand in the South Island,
Ian formed 'CRW' Commercial Refrigeration Wholesalers to cater for the
wider South Island and later, sales on a National basis.
Ian has travelled extensively to keep abreast of new
products and developments and to form close associations with overseas
manufacturers and suppliers, now importing from Europe and Asia, as well
as supporting the local New Zealand manufacturers. Married with 3 adult
children (two of which live and work abroad in the UK), Ian also enjoys
the outdoors, particularly boating and fishing in the Marlborough Sounds,
recreational travel and is an avid car enthusiast. |

Bob has 40 years plus experience in refrigeration
including sales, design, manufacturing and management. Bob served
his refrigeration apprentice training from 1946-1951. In 1955
Bob founded Debenham Refrigeration initially installing beer tanks
and refrigeration systems for the liquor industry in the South
Island, later developing and manufacturing the Debonair range
of refrigerated cabinets for the NZ market with exports to Papau
New Guinea and the USA, which to this day is a very popular cabinet.
Bob also developed the chilled water glycol system for recirculating
around hotels and clubs. After a brief semi-retirement, Bob took
up a position with CRW Ltd as Sales Engineering Consultant. Bob
has vast experience in refrigerated systems and air-conditioning
and enjoys initial planning to the final commissioning of restaurants
and bars.

Tony has been in the Hospitality Supply Industry
for more than 10 years now. He spent eight years in the catering
equipment area and three years in refrigeration with CRW (Commercial
Refrigeration Wholesalers).
After completing his High School qualification
he studied Accounting and Marketing at the tertiary level. In 1998
he completed the NZC qualification in Sales and Marketing at Christchurch
Polytechnic.
While he has retired from playing senior rugby,
he keenly follows the Crusaders and enjoys time with family and
friends. Tony loves to spend his down time in the Islands of Fiji. |

Mark has worked with CRW for the past 12 months.
Previously, Mark Benham was the Sales Executive for a liquor company
for 2 years serving the Wellington - Kapiti region. Mark also has
20 years experience in Hotel Management in New Zealand, Australia
and Britain, including 9 years as the General Manager, Maruia Springs
Thermal Resort and 2 years as an owner/operator of a Licensed Cafe.
Mark lives in Leeston with his wife Sally and is expecting his first
child this year. |

Lucy is from Beijing in China and has been living
in Christchurch for the past 3 years. After studying English for
1 year, Lucy joined CRW and has been working for them for the
past 2 years. In China, Lucy was a graduate for a Foreign Trade
Financial Accountant and also worked for a big joint venture company.
With this past experience Lucy is well prepared, more than most
graduates, to deal with the most demanding of business problems
with exposure to many aspects of sales, including prospecting
account acquisition, territory management, development and customer
service. |

Daphne has worked with CRW for the last 2 years
in sole charge of office administration and telesales. Daphne
has had over 28 years experience in the hospitality trade, both
in food and liquor as a Rep, Hotel Manager and Wholesale Grocery
Manager.
Her interests have been the coaching and admin
of schoolboys cricket, with 17 years for Otago Junior Cricket
and still involved in junior rugby for the past 12 years. Daphne
was awarded Otago Rugby Lady of the year 1988 – (for service
behind the scenes in rugby). Daphne is a Life Member of Kaikorai
Cricket Club and supports the Highlanders & Otago Rugby &
any other local team |
